TJ Algo Toolkit — indicator guide
TJ Pulse
A momentum oscillator that changes its own responsiveness with volatility and weights each candle by the volume behind it. Fast markets get a shorter reading, quiet markets a longer one, and the effective length is always shown so nothing is hidden from you.
How it works
Current volatility is compared to its own 50-bar average. The oscillator blends a fast and a slow reading, leaning toward the fast one when the market speeds up.
A candle that moved on heavy volume pushes the oscillator harder than one that drifted on nothing.
The same calculation from the higher timeframe is plotted on the same pane in grey, so agreement or conflict between timeframes is visible at a glance.
Swing lows and highs of the oscillator are compared against price swings. A lower price low with a higher oscillator low is a bullish divergence, and the reverse is bearish.

Alerts
| Alert | Fires when |
|---|---|
| Overbought / oversold entry | The pulse crosses into an extreme zone. |
| Overbought / oversold exit | The pulse leaves an extreme zone. |
| Midline cross up / down | The pulse crosses 50. |
| Bullish / bearish divergence | A divergence is confirmed against price. |
Every alert can carry a JSON payload with the symbol, both timeframes, the structure on each, and whether they agree — so a bot can filter on confluence before it forwards anything.
Reading the dashboard
- Pulse shows the value and the state in one row.
- Higher TF shows the timeframe, its value, its state, and an = when both agree.
- Length is the effective period right now, so you can see the adaptation working.
